10. Dogwood Park

Coming in at number 10 on our list of the best things to do in Mariemont is visit Dogwood Park. Covering over 20 acres, this park offers a playground area known as the “Tot Lot,” ball fields, nature trails, and plenty of open space for activities.

The park is also home to the soaring Bell Tower, which is one of the few remaining working carillons in the country. Carillon concerts are even held on Sundays during the summer months.

9. The Quarter Bistro Restaurant

Coming in at number 9 on our list is The Quarter Bistro, one of the more well-known restaurants in the area and for good reason. Their Latin and French-inspired dishes combined with impeccable service, cozy indoor seating, and an open patio make this a must-stop spot to grab dinner and drinks in Mariemont.

7. Mariemont Gardens Park

Coming in at number 7 on our list is Mariemont Gardens Park. Located on the banks of the Little Miami River, this park offers a 1.5 mile looped trail that offers excellent views of the river.

This loop is a great place to do some light hiking, bird watching, dog walking, or trail running. The trail itself is fairly flat all the way around, so it’s great for joggers, dogwalkers, and families alike.

6. Stanley Rowe Arboretum

Next up on our list is Stanley Rowe Arboretum. Located just five minutes away from the Mariemont town square, this 9-acre arboretum offers an excellent place to go for a walk through several nature gardens and see hundreds of different plant species.

The arboretum is open every day from dawn to dusk and admission is completely free.

5. Bass Island Biking Trail

Number 5 on our list is the Bass Island biking trail, a 2.4 mile trail that offers scenic views of the Little Miami Rive and several wooded areas. The trail offers some nice places to view wildflowers and birds of all kinds, and is a great place to get outside and enjoy nature without traveling too far outside of the city.

The trail itself also connects with the larger 78-mile paved Little Miami Scenic Trail.

4. Mariemont Players Theater

Coming in at number 4 on our list is Mariemont Players, one of Cincinnati’s oldest community theaters. The theater is entirely volunteer-driven and provides six productions per year to the public.

3. Graeter’s Ice Cream

Number 3 on our list is the local Graeter’s Ice Cream Shop located in the heart of the town square. This is hands down the most popular place to get ice cream in Mariemont and it’s a local favorite place to hang out in the evening and enjoy a cone.

2. Fifty West Brewery

Coming in at number 2 on our list is one of the most unique breweries in all of Cincinnati, Fifty West Brewery, which is located just down the road from the Mariemont town square. Situated along the Little Miami River, Fifty West is one of the only breweries in the region that boasts six outdoor volleyball courts, which hosts weekly leagues and tournaments. 

In addition, they host what is known as “Penny Flip” nights on Tuesdays where you can literally flip a penny and, if you guess correctly, only have to pay one penny for your drink!

The fun community activities and events, combined with the two story brewery with indoor and outdoor seating makes Fifty West a must-stop place to grab a beer.

1. Mariemont Theatre

The number one best thing to do in Mariemont is visit the Mariemont Theatre, an old-school movie theater located in the heart of the neighborhood that shows independent and foreign films along with sing-along shows and other events.

Originally opened in 1939, the theater used to only have one screen until it was closed, renovated, and reopened with three screens in the late 1990s. In 2013, the theater received two additional screens in the rear of the building.

Rich with history, it’s fitting that this theater is located directly in the center of Mariemont. It’s a local treasure and it’s one place that you must visit if you happen to be in the neighborhood.
