Fortunately, Niche.com makes it easy to find out how safe various neighborhoods are by assigning a Safety and Crime grade to each neighborhood, ranging from A+ (extremely safe) to F (not safe at all), using FBI crime report data.

Using this data, we decided to compile a list of the ten safest neighborhoods in the metro area of Cincinnati.

Niche.com provides data on the number of occurrences per 100,000 residents for the following crimes:

Violent Crimes

  • Assault
  • Robbery

Property Crimes

  • Burglary
  • Theft
  • Motor Vehicle Theft

Using these metrics, they assign a safety grade to each neighborhood.

The following table displays the number of occurrences for each type of crime along with an overall safety grade for the ten safest neighborhoods in the Cincinnati metro area:

Cincinnati Neighborhoods that Received a ‘B’ Safety Grade

In total, three neighborhoods in the Cincinnati metro area received a ‘B’ safety grade.

Hyde Park

The first neighborhood that received a ‘B’ safety grade is Hyde Park, an urban area known for its shops, restaurants, and trendy vibe, and home to many families and young professionals.
